Mobile Applications Developed for GDDKiA – Sonatina
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) manages national roads in Poland. Specifically, the institution supervises traffic, coordinates infrastructure expansion, and executes transport policies. GDDKiA required a modern solution to support drivers in real time. Our team delivered a mobile application that streams field device data directly to end users.
Goal: Quick Access to Road Information
Our primary objective focused on building an intuitive mobile tool for instant data access. The application showcases real-time traffic camera feeds and meteorological station updates. Furthermore, it displays active messages from Variable Message Signs (VMS). Integrating these data streams allows drivers to make highly informed travel decisions. Users check road conditions seamlessly while driving or planning their route. Real-time updates offer reliable warnings about weather threats or sudden traffic bottlenecks. Ultimately, this translates into superior road safety, saved time, and efficient trip management.
Simple Navigation via Map and Geolocation
We deployed a clear interactive map populated with precise measurement points. Moreover, the system leverages native mobile geolocation for quick user positioning. Drivers instantly locate the closest monitoring post anywhere on the road. Consequently, the app evaluates surrounding weather and transit conditions perfectly even in unfamiliar territories.
Native Technology for Maximum Performance
Our engineering team developed separate native applications for iOS and Android platforms. This technical architecture ensures exceptional stability and highly fluid user interface transitions. In practice, native code provides superior performance and faster response times. The software remains entirely reliable even under challenging field conditions.
