1. Start with the goal
You don’t need a finished strategy, but you must know why this application is being built. What problems is it supposed to solve? Who will use it? Which features are absolutely critical, and which can be put on hold for later?
The more thoroughly you think this through, the faster we can kick off the project—without backtracking or changing direction along the way.
2. Gather inspirations for your web application
It helps a lot if you can show us what you like—other apps, existing solutions, or specific functionalities. Sometimes, just a few links or screenshots are enough for us to instantly understand the direction you want to take.
This cuts down on design time and helps keep everyone on the same page from the start.
3. Define your budget and timeline
You don’t need to specify the exact amount down to the penny. However, defining a rough budget range allows us to propose the right scope of work and the most suitable technologies. The same goes for time—even an approximate deadline helps us properly plan the project and allocate the team.
If your plan is to launch an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) first and then develop it further in stages, it is highly beneficial to factor that in right now.
4. Prepare your materials
Every application needs content. Even if it is a simple form or a user panel, copy needs to go somewhere. On top of that, you will need a logo, color schemes, and any photos or graphics. If you don’t have them yet, we can advise you on where to source them. However, it is worth deciding upfront who on your team will be responsible for providing these materials.

5. Consider integrations and technical requirements
Does the application need to connect to a payment gateway? A CRM system? An external API? Or perhaps it needs to work offline or across multiple device types? Every piece of information like this is crucial during the architecture planning stage.

6. Don’t forget about the law
GDPR, terms and conditions, privacy policies—these elements are often left for the very end. That is a major mistake. In applications that collect user data, legal compliance is just as critical as UX or security.

7. Plan what comes next
An application does not end on launch day. It needs to be maintained, updated, and occasionally expanded. It is worth asking yourself right now: who will be responsible for this? Will it be handled by your internal team, or do you expect ongoing support from us?
Establishing the rules of post-launch cooperation early on is the best way to avoid stressful situations down the road.
8. Designate a decision-maker
This is an often underestimated element. Every project needs a single point of contact on the client’s side—someone who makes the final calls, signs off on milestones, and answers ongoing questions. The absence of such a person is a guaranteed recipe for delays and confusion.
Good communication means a fast project. Trust the experience.
