PTM Soft built a dedicated website for a new scientific research project. Specifically, the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz leads this academic initiative. The team created the portal under the prestigious OPUS 18 competition. Therefore, the main goal of the website is to analyze the complex transformations of modern citizenship.

Implementation of the “Heterotopies of Citizenship” Project
This important research project runs from 2020 to 2024 at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. Crucially, the team received a massive grant of 1,124,280 PLN. This funding came directly from the National Science Centre OPUS 18 program (grant no. 2019/35/B/HS6/01365). Therefore, the scientists can easily conduct high-level studies.
Seven outstanding researchers form the core project team. Moreover, this interdisciplinary group unites specialists from completely different fields. For example, they represent pedagogy, cultural studies, political science, and law. As a result, they analyze youth citizenship from multiple unique perspectives.
The primary goal is to analyze modern youth citizenship. Specifically, this extensive research covers both Poland and Ukraine. Because of this, the study investigates how citizenship manifests in symbolic and educational spaces. Ultimately, the research team adopted a very innovative theoretical approach to achieve this great goal.
The famous concept of heterotopia by Michel Foucault serves as our starting point. This framework also enables a deep, critical analysis of complex socio-cultural phenomena. In fact, the team developed a detailed research concept based entirely on this theory. Consequently, they planned all subsequent stages of their work precisely.
