Website project tailored for a metropolis

The underground transit system in our capital city is far more than mere transportation. Specifically, it serves as the beating heart of urban life that moves thousands of citizens daily. Designing the brand-new Warsaw Metro Website represents a deeply unique assignment for our agency. Above all, we needed to blend a modern visual interface, highly intuitive navigation, and massive volumes of public data under strict WCAG 2.1 compliance.

Custom graphic design for every department

Every separate subpage received an independent design layout because each section fulfills a completely different public function. For this reason, we deployed unique page templates across the portal. Consequently, visitors easily discover ticket pricing, system maps, line schemes, or active transit timetables without any hassle. The complete web platform runs flawlessly on desktop computers and mobile devices alike.

WCAG 2.1 compliance and huge content volume? It is possible!

Balancing comprehensive digital accessibility with a massive information structure might seem incredibly difficult at first glance. However, our implementation clearly proves that it can be achieved seamlessly. Categorizing thousands of operational data points was a major challenge. Thankfully, smart structuring, logical user pathways, and clean interface components made it fully successful. In this way, we delivered an exceptional portal for both local residents and visiting tourists.

Visible and hidden features of the platform

The modern portal offers a wide range of intuitive functionalities for daily commuters. Specifically, users can easily:

  • check the up-to-date metro timetable,
  • explore the complete Warsaw subway network map,
  • download official transit line schemes,
  • learn how and where to purchase tickets,
  • read genuine passenger feedback,
  • take a virtual tour of selected underground stations.

In addition, our developers deployed backend optimizations that remain completely invisible to the naked eye. These under-the-hood solutions dramatically boost page loading speeds and enhance accessibility features for disabled individuals.

WordPress and JavaScript – a proven combination

We developed this large-scale project using the flexible WordPress framework. Choosing this system ensures effortless content management for the internal Warsaw Metro team. Furthermore, we utilized custom JavaScript code to inject dynamic interface elements and interactive layout components. This technology stack breathes a truly modern spirit into the entire web experience.

Building the official website for the capital transit network is a landmark achievement that makes us incredibly proud. We successfully unified high technical quality, total accessibility, rich databases, and deep functionality into a single cohesive ecosystem. Ultimately, the end-user finds exactly what they need rapidly, comfortably, and with minimal clicks.
