Web Portal for the University of Szczecin – A Tool for Tax Competition Analysis

The PTM Soft team deployed a modern web portal for the University of Szczecin. This academic project was designed to simplify access to scientific research data regarding local government tax competition. Consequently, users gain a perfectly clear overview of the fiscal situation across all Polish municipalities.

Why was the portal created?

Closing the existing information gap in the field of regional tax competition was our primary goal. Therefore, the website provides both raw analytical datasets and extensive contextual details. It clearly demonstrates how municipal fiscal decisions directly influence businesses and active investors.

What does the website include?

An interactive, dynamic map displaying every single municipality in Poland represents the core feature. Specifically, users can rapidly verify local tax rates to perform quick comparisons. In addition, a comprehensive knowledge base covers essential details about municipal fees, tax regulations, and local government frameworks.

Furthermore, this digital utility offers direct support for:

  • strategic investment planning,
  • improving overall corporate operational efficiency,
  • enhancing public oversight of local authority decisions.

Intuitive Navigation and User-Friendly Interface

Maximum operational simplicity remained our main design focus throughout development. For this reason, we implemented highly legible navigation menus and a clean content layout. As a result, academic researchers, corporate entrepreneurs, and local residents discover necessary information effortlessly.

Technologies Powering the Platform Features

We engineered the website utilizing the flexible WordPress content management system. Specifically, developers integrated the LeafletJS library to render a fully interactive map of Poland. Custom graphic templates alongside tailor-made functionalities align perfectly with the unique specifications of the academic project. The core technical framework relies heavily on reliable tools like WordPress, MySQL, PHP, and JavaScript.

This successful implementation for the University of Szczecin serves as a modern tool blending academic data with practical utility. Ultimately, visitors gain a much deeper understanding of local fiscal policies. They can make significantly more informed corporate, investment, and civic decisions.
